Other Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are popular at our Medford, Oregon, medical spa, both for treating lines and wrinkles and for enhancing facial contours. PureSpa offers a range of dermal fillers to address all your needs. In addition to the JUVÉDERM® family of dermal fillers, we offer Restylane® products, RADIESSE®, BELOTERO BALANCE®, and Sculptra® Aesthetic. Our experienced injectors will assess your needs and desired results and recommend the best filler for you.

Restylane

Restylane products are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found naturally in the body. When injected into the skin, HA binds with water molecules to restore volume and hydration for firmer, smoother skin.

We offer three products from the Restylane line, each formulated to address specific concerns.

Restylane-L

Restylane-L fills in moderate to severe wrinkles and folds on the face.

Restylane Lift

Restylane Lift was developed to help address signs of aging in the mid-face, particularly the cheeks. It can also help lift the brows and correct lines around the mouth.

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Kysse was designed for use in and around the lips. It’s formulated to create soft, fuller lips while allowing for more natural lip movement than other fillers.

BELOTERO BALANCE

BELOTERO BALANCE combines two types of hyaluronic acid to help restore volume and smooth the skin. It’s approved for treating nasolabial folds, but its thinner consistency makes it a good filler for areas like the lips and tear troughs.

RADIESSE

A dermal filler that corrects wrinkles and restores facial volume, RADIESSE is made from calcium hydroxylapatite, a substance found naturally in the body. RADIESSE is unique in that it acts as both a filler and a collagen stimulator, so you get immediate and prolonged results.

RADIESSE is typically used to fill in moderate to severe facial wrinkles, such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and perioral lines.

Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic works differently from dermal fillers. Made from poly-L-lactic acid, it’s a collagen stimulator that helps reinforce the skin’s underlying structure and improve volume. By augmenting the body’s own collagen creation process, Sculptra can deliver subtle, natural-looking results that emerge over several weeks to months after treatment.

Sculptra is primarily used to treat wrinkles and folds, such as horizontal forehead wrinkles and nasolabial folds, and to help restore facial contours.

How Much Do Dermal Fillers Cost?

At our Medford medspa, dermal fillers are priced by the syringe. During your consultation, your injector will determine how many syringes you’re likely to need and provide a personalized pricing estimate.

What To Expect From Your Treatment

Dermal filler injections should not be uncomfortable, especially if you receive one of the formulations containing lidocaine. Your injector applies a topical anesthetic cream to numb the area for added comfort and peace of mind.

Injectable treatments are minimally invasive, usually take less than 30 minutes in our luxurious medspa, and require no downtime for recovery. After your appointment, you can simply go about your day as usual. You may experience tenderness, swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site. However, these side effects are temporary and should resolve within a few days.

Dermal Fillers FAQ

How is Restylane different from JUVÉDERM?

Both Restylane and JUVÉDERM fillers are HA fillers that come in a variety of formulations to provide different uses and benefits. In general, JUVÉDERM tends to be smoother, while Restylane is denser. The differences are subtle, and choosing the right one for you is best left to our expert injector team.

Which dermal filler is best for lip fillers?

The best lip filler depends on your unique needs and cosmetic goals. Restylane Kysse is a great choice for adding volume to the lips and smoothing away lip lines. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA®, JUVÉDERM, and JUVÉDERM® Ultra provide beautiful lip enhancement as well.

Can dermal fillers be dissolved?

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane can be dissolved with injections of an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Results can take a few hours to a few days to become visible.

Are fillers better than BOTOX?

Fillers and BOTOX® Cosmetic are both injectables that can rejuvenate and enhance your appearance. They are not interchangeable, so one is not better than the other. BOTOX corrects lines caused by facial muscle contractions, such as crow’s feet at the outer corner of the eyes and frown lines between the eyebrows. Fillers are better when you want to add or replace volume in the face or lips or smooth away static folds and wrinkles. Many people benefit from a combination of these treatments.

Can I combine dermal fillers with other treatments?

Yes, many dermal filler patients benefit from other nonsurgical treatments, often at a separate appointment. Popular choices include:

During your consultation, your provider will discuss your desired improvements and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
