What Is the ClearV Laser & How Does It Work?
ClearV is a 1064 nanometer Nd:YAG laser that treats unwanted veins and vascular lesions in the skin. It delivers energy pulses to the blood vessels near the skin’s surface to break them down. Over time, your body naturally absorbs the remnants of the vessels, leaving behind clearer and more evenly pigmented skin.
ClearV’s unique handpiece features special lighting that illuminates veins beneath your skin’s surface. While these veins may not yet be visible to the naked eye, they’re likely to become concerns in the future. With the help of this Subsurface Vein Illumination (SVI™) technology, your provider can deliver an even more thorough and effective treatment.

What Does the ClearV Laser Treat?
The ClearV laser treats many cosmetic concerns related to blood vessels, including:
- Visible veins on the face or body
- Broken capillaries
- Spider veins
- Vascular lesions (cherry angiomas, port wine stain)
- Skin discoloration
- Rosacea
It’s important to note that ClearV is not effective for varicose veins. If you are looking to address hyperpigmentation or texture concerns as well as vascular lesions, you may benefit from combining your treatment with another laser service, such as HALO® laser skin resurfacing or Forever Young BBL™.

How Much Do ClearV Laser Treatments Cost?
ClearV treatments typically take less than 30 minutes, depending on the size of your targeted area. You likely won’t need any topical anesthetic; most people report a warm sensation and a feeling similar to a rubber band snap. The device features an integrated cooling system to keep you comfortable throughout.
What Is Recovery Like After a ClearV Treatment?
There is little to no downtime involved. You can return to your usual activities, including work and the gym. You may have some redness, sensitivity, or swelling for a few days, which will subside naturally. Some veins may temporarily appear darker before fading away.
How Many ClearV Treatments Will I Need?
You should see results from your treatment within about 4 to 6 weeks. While many people are happy with their results after a single treatment, some patients with more severe, dense areas of vascularity may require additional treatment to resolve the area of concern completely.
